The Tempest, with Roger Allam as Prospero and Colin Morgan as Ariel, will be filmed for cinema and DVD release in 2014.
Can’t make it to London to watch The Tempest? Never fear – the multiregional DVD of the play, will be available soon through Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre web shop, as well as a worldwide screening in cinemas.
The Tempest starts on the 23rd of April – Shakespeare’s birthday – and runs until 18th August. The cast also includes Jessie Buckley as Miranda, Jason Baughan, Sam Cox, Pip Donaghy, Trevor Fox, James Garnon, Peter Hamilton Dyer, Joshua James, William Mannering, Sarah Sweeney and Amanda Wilkin.
