Will there be a series 6 of Conversations from a Long Marriage?
Too early for such information, but the series is popular and loved so it is likely to be renewed.
I do hope it will continue into more series. I just love it. It’s so true to life – and isn’t. It’s people’s sutuations all rolled into one somehow – incredibly relatable.
Please please please make series 6 as the wait is too much… We need to know if they get back together again…Love this series so much

It would be great if this fabulous show could go on for many years to come. There are so many story lines they could incorporate. We could all grow older and zanier with them.

As the writer and creator of Conversations From A Long Marriage, I’d just like to thank you for the lovely comments and to reassure you that Series 6 has been written and recorded last month. It will begin on May 19th in the post Archers slot of 2.15 and will be preceded by a re-run of both Series 4 and Series 5. I love the series and listen to any of the episodes whilst I’m cooking.

Excellent news indeed … great writing from Jan and great ‘reading’ as it were by Joanna and Roger (nobody else could play these parts) … I came across the series 4 episode 2 today quite by accident and decided to search if there was indeed to be a series 6.

Just listened to the last episode of series 7. My heart was in my mouth! Thank you for such wonderful writing – never trite, wholly believable. I really hope there will be a series 8; such a superb combination of script and actors, perfect radio.

Series 6, 7 8…
I repeatedly listen to all series of my walks…makes my day!!
Sadly, I see no way Conversations from a Long Marriage could continue in a Series 6 after the bombshell ending of Series 5. There is no way Joanna Lumley could stay so perky, witty and affectionate after the bombshell discovery of a son and two grandsons. A stepgrandmother? Not feasible. The whole attraction of the show is the exclusive bond between the two. A cruel ending, indeed.
Cleverly written, expertly produced and brought to life by two fabulous actors.
How can the BBC not allow such a winning team to go on to make many many more series.
It is not cancelled, Ange! Series 6 is in the making, we just need to be a little patient…
SUCH a ray of hope! DO hope there will be more. I have listened so many times on Audible that the scripts are with me all the time! ‘Fine is a weather forecast’ – one of my favourites as Roger/hubby has sorted around for something to say about the new glasses and SHE puts him down for it so coolly. I quote that and other things all the time. We NEED more. FAB scripts and FAB actors – keep me going big time!!
That’s a relief. After just listening to the last episode Series 5 to cheer myself up due to bereavements, I was quite upset. I was surprised that no thought was given to Amy and how was He supposed to go to London without making arrangements for Amy to be cared for by the friend?! Her friend. ?! Sad and Selfish.

Thank you for Series 6. But, please consider 7, 8 and 9. We need to hear about their new life after the move to the sea side. It’s life changing and traumatic to upstakes and move to a new home and environment in “mature” years. PLEASE.

The last episode brought me to tears and laughter and at the same time! Oh it was so, so good and absolutely heavenly . I will play that episode, the final episode over and over and over. Until series 8!!!! Please, please say yes to another series…and please can someone reply to this comment so I don’t feel alone at this sad moment x

All the series have been our ‘Road Trip’ companions ever since I discovered it. So brilliantly written with equal amounts of pathos and humour. After a while you feel like you personally know the characters and all they have been through.
Can’t wait for Series 8
